Hi!  My name is Melanie Butler, and I am thrilled to be teaching 1^st grade again this year!  I graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with a BBA in Human Resource Management in 1996.  Then, in 2009 I received my teaching certificate from Texas A&M, Commerce.  I taught at a private preschool for 6 years, before entering into public education. I have also previously taught kindergarten and third grade.  

I am originally from Naples, Florida, but I have lived in Lamar County for more than 20 years.  My husband, Evan, and I have 2 children—a daughter, Erin and a son, Ryan.  Our daughter attends college in Tennessee, and our son is a student at Prairiland High School.  We love living in Blossom, and believe that Prairiland ISD is the best!
